I would buy a newer dodge, the 2002+ style. No problem.

I don't keep my vehicles that long. I figure in 2-3 years I'll get rid of my current f150.

Plus ive only owned two fords amd they both needed transmission replacements. They aren't dependable in my book...not more than any other brand anyway.

My other vehicles have not needed anything major...food for thought.

Good luck, OP.

Had a 1 ton dodge dualy deisel 4x at work for awhile. Couple year comp lease. It wasn't that bad. Most fleet/field trucks were Power Strokes tho, and they were all 7.3's at that time. I didn't get to pick my truck, but some of the primadonna's had the privilege to pick their rides, so we had some GMC's within the fleet as well.

Like the Dodge, the GMC's went back to the dealership after a few. Nothing really compared to the 7.3 PS back then. The company had some 6/7 year old PS Fords as they hung onto them a little longer: they were well liked, - for good reasons IMO.
