Manual Trans wont go into gear when truck is on
1997 f150 4.2 v6
I have replaced my clutch , throwout bearing , flywheel , clutch slave cylinder , clutch master cylinder , its bleed shift fine if truck is turned off but when on it doesn't want to go into gear any help be appreciated

Could be pilot bearing. Possibly sticking.

I'm going with air still in the system. Bleed it more.... I bet you get more air.

Thanks for the replys guys while running i cannot put it into any gear it wants to do the grinding noise and i have to forcefully put it into gear , But if the truck is off i can put it into any gear then start the truck and it willl be in that gear but if i shift to while running its back to not wanting to go into gear

Was it grinding before you changed the clutch and t/o bearing? If so, it's probably the damn shift forks inside these M5 units. They wear so badly on the edges, that they will not put itself into gear.
If the clutch is fine, I'd look at removing the top of the trans and fixing the forks. It is a very common problem with these transmissions. That and the 3 plugs on the top of the tower leaking fluids. There is a simple fix for those, the forks require replacement if bad.

So how do you check to see if the 3 plugs on the top are leaking and then how to you fix that? I am having the same issue. No grinding or anything just suddenly doesn't want to go into gear while running. I have had a leak from my transfer case for about a week but figured it was just the drain plug that needed to be replaced or something but obviously its a bigger issue. the help is appreciated.
