Has anyone ever just taking the two manifold bolts out of the leaking port and slid a new gasket in behind the manifold?

I have a bad gasket on the rear drivers side cylinder just wondering the easies way if there was one without taking the manifold completely off.

Any tricks please share i know ill have to get my big teddy out and i have oem gaskets and new bolts and nuts.

Most of the time it's not just the gasket and the manifold itself is out of square. I'd be leery of just replacing the gasket.
