Default Magnaflow 15749 Question

Has anybody installed the Magnaflow 15749 exhaust system on their truck? I'm thinking about picking one up but not sure about the install.

The hangers for the tail pipes, are there threaded holes in the frame for these or will new holes have to be drilled? And will the kit clear a 17" spare tire?

Thanks for the help.

Talked to Magnaflow, seems like spare tire won't be a problem but the hitch may be taking up the hole that Magnaflow uses for the tail pipe hangers.

Does anybody recommend tapping a new hole over welding the hanger to the frame? Just trying to figure out what would be the best way to install the rear hangers. I'm in Canada so corrosion is a big issue in the winter. Would rather go the route which results in less chance of corrosion.

Thanks for the help.

I recently installed this part # on my truck. It uses the stock hangers. I was able to get the pipes around my hitch and spare no problem as long as they are not over sized. Careful, you will get an erection the first time you WOT. It's loud, but not white trash loud. I think you will enjoy this system.

Haha thanks, can't wait to hear it.

What hole did you use for the driver side hanger? Would you happen to have any pictures of the hangers installed on your truck?

Has anybody had any problems with increased corrosion on their bumper above the tail pipes? Since the exhaust will heat the bumper up more it could cause increased corrosion in the winter.

Probably not the case but just wondering if anybody has any input. Thanks.
