Default Lowering 4x4? pics of lowered 4x4?

i have a 2004 f150 4x4 and i would like to lower it. it is all stock right now.

i want to lower it about 3" in the front and 4" in the rear. could i loosen the t bar? just like the offroad guys crank them? also could i remove the rear block to lower the rear?

i thought there was a thread but i cant seem to find it when i search.

if you guys have a lowered 4x4 post pics and list what you did and how much of a drop you have.

any help would be appreaciated. please dont post "dont lower a 4x4". i want to lower it because i want to lower it. its a street f150 and needs to be daily even through winter. only helpfull posts please

All I know about is unscrewing the torsion bars and removing the rear blocks. It's not very often you see a lowered 4x4

I know that I have seen some buys with newer 150's take the back blocks out. as fr as the tbars go, i'm not sure. I thought I read somewhere that once they are up then they shouldnt be lowered back down. could be wrong tho.

I just did a couple of quick reading and sofar what I read is that they flipped the key upside down and drilled a dent for the screw to go into and it gave them like 2in off the tire
I have no idea if its safe or not I want to try it on my tahoe now lol

hmmmm. that sounds a bit better. i thought they took the whole bar out.

i wonder how i could lower the rear with my stock leaf spring?

could i get drop shackles?

i was talking with a buddy and he said if i remove the 2-3" block in rear it will drop it. but only few inches. would the shackles work to get the eatra couple inches?

thanks for comments and info.

If you get shackles it will drop 2in take the block out that's another 2 total 4 but since its 4x4 it will look like a 2wd with 2in shackles

I had gotten a axle flip before or leafspring flip whatever its called and I got a 5in drop, but if you want lower u might have to cut into the bed get bigger cnotches and add your lift block to lower another 2-3in

My cousin truck has a 9in drop in the rear of his Chevy came even get out of his own driveway lol
