Default Looking for maintenance documentation 98

I just bought a 98 F150 Lariat big six, 5-speed. The truck has just over 100,000 miles and seems to be in pretty good shape except for a couple of problems. The yellow Rear Anti-Lock warning light is on and the red Brake warning light is on.

The brakes seem to work fine and there is plenty of brake fluid in the reservoir and the parking brake pedal is completely released and depressing the switch for it. I can't seem to find any documentation on the ABS system or any wiring diagram for it.

Does anyone out there have any documentation for this year model that they can share? Thanks!

Default No help at AutoZone

I was looking for a wiring diagram and/or a description of the ABS system in my 98 F-150 and went to AutoZone for a manual. They opened one that appeared to cover my model. The section on ABS basically said to check electrical connections and I didn't find anything I should take the truck to a dealer.

This was a real disappointment as I'm sure I can fix it if I only knew how it was wired and how it was to function.

If anyone has better documentation that can be shared please contact me.

Do you need the wiring diagram for RABS or 4WABS?
I have everything you need to know (Entire Service manual) but the RABS section is 72 pages long and 4WABS is 107 pages long.
So let me know what part you want.

Does the light come on and stay on or does it turn back on when you start to drive off?

It is not 4WD. The yellow fault light is labeled Rear Anti-Lock Brakes.

I can send you a link to my dropbox account if that makes transfering data easier??

I've had the truck a week and the lights have both been on solid. I plan to disconnect the battery for a while and, I assume, that will reset the RABS module. Then before I move the vehicle, connect the battery, turn the ignition on and see if both lights are on.

Here is the how to for starting your fix. Let me know what error code you get and I'll send you the info on it.

It's too big to attach, so I just uploaded it to dropbox.

I'm out of town but will be able to attempt the fault code readout Saturday afternoon. Do you know where the wire connector that starts the flashing is located? I read somewhere it could be in either of two places under the dash but don't remember exactly where.
