looking at 03 screw lariat 4wd
 

I am looking at a 03 screw 4wd lariat with 91k on it. what should I be expecting in a price and any issues it may have coming up soon. the truck is fully loaded with everything but the sunroof. any help would help. it is the 5.4 auto

the 5.4 is a very reliable motor, from what I have read here on the forum. the biggest issue I have read about is spark plug blow out, out of the head. I cant recall if there are specific cylinders that this happens to, but just look for any evidence of it happening before. I'm sure others will chime in also to help you out

With that low miles it'll probably be in the tens of thousands of $. and like ^^ he said look for any evidence of loose plugs, make sure 4 wheel drive works.

2003 models are less likely to have the spark plug blowout problem as those heads have more threads for the plugs.
