Programming question
Will a Mustang Programmer(predator) work with a 97 4.6 v8 F-150 XLT? A friend of mine loaned it to me to play with but i didnt know if it was safe so i havent done anything....

No it is set up to work on the Mustang only. It is prolly locked to his car. I could be wrong I have been before. If youwant a programmer get an X-cal2 from Troyer.

The only way to find out if it will work on your truck. Is to return the Mustang to stock. It will then unlock the programmer from his car. And you can try it on your truck. Ofcourse thats how the X-Cal 2 works. But yes most programmers VIN Lock with vehicles now days. Unlike the old Hypertechs.
