You'd need a resistor (or an LED-ready flasher) if you were to put LEDs in your blinkers, for example, as they use LESS current than regular filament bulbs, thus making the truck think a bulb is out. If I understand the use of a relay correctly, they are good for, among other things, making sure the maximum amount of current possible is being directed to the device/light in question. Therefore, perhaps if it's possible, a relay wouldn't be a bad idea as theoretically, if you were to just tap into an existing wire going to your parking light for example, it wouldn't be as bright as if you tapped directly into the battery. The current going to the lights through the existing wiring in the truck has been proven to have less of a voltage than directly from the battery.

Anyone on here is free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, just a thought as far as your warranty is concerned. Perhaps taking a bunch of pictures along the install and holding onto them wouldn't be a bad idea, in case the company questions you if you need a replacement or whatever. But in my short contact with a representative, they seem very polite; I don't think you'll have too much of a problem.

You don't need a relay for such a low-draw device. Also, LEDs are not like incandescent halogens in which their luminous output is exponential to the voltage they receive. As long as LEDs get a minimum of 12.8vDC, they will light up to full brightness, regardless of voltage drop loss across the harness (which is very little). So go ahead and just tap into the turn signal.

Secondly, TRS' customer support is second to none. I've had my projectors for three years, well outside of warranty. the 4300K D2S bulbs I had, one was color-shifting like a mother and they let me swap them out for 0-time, brand new 5000K D2S bulbs.

Come on over to F150online.com. I have a list of "retrofit members" and I've lost count at 50 people. We have pictures of all sorts of trucks with retrofits, its a good read.

Alright, I think I wanna do this after I get some stuff fixed and get all my led bars...I wish a dually could fit in the corners. Any other suggestions as what you could do besides a LED corner bulb?

Take off the reflector and put an LED strip under it
