So I was driving the other night and realized that there was a light peeking through the pushout cup holder. So I pulled it out and saw the light. My question is why is there a light there?

So you can see where the cup holder is at night/ ash a cig in the ashtray.

Right buts up in the dash. And when you pull it all out it doesn't shine on the cup holders.

Is it disconnected because it should be in the cup holder.

I never really liked the white light in there so when it burnt out I pulled it out, cut it off, and hooked a blue LED to it and put it back in. So now my drinks glow blue at night. Just a cheap easy mod if you don't like the white one in there.

How do you figure out what size LED you need for little lights like that? Is it in the manual or what?

This may be a stupid question but I have a 2003 f150 XLT and I don't see a cup holder light and it's not a big deal but do I have one it's a super cab??
