Lift question 03 screw 2wd

You dont need a 4wd to need/want a lift. Sure a 2wd may not always be as capable but having ground clearance is nice no matter the drivewheel. Some do it just for looks but either way its someone elses truck so they can do what they please.

98 4.6 2wd with 5.5" lift 35" m/t 4.11 gears and Detroit locker. I got my "mudriding stage" of my life out with this truck. Had so much fun offroad and was never unsatisfied with its performance. It wouldn't have performed as good without the lift and whatnot. Got me everywhere I needed to go and a lot of places didn't lol. Don't let common viewpoints define your own. Do what you want, it's your life. Granted, I now have a stock fx4. But this truck is still in the family. I like the fx4 bc the 4wd allows me to get where I need while still having a smooth riding, decent mpg truck. But it's boring compared to the ole 98

Lift question 03 screw 2wd
Not trying to pick a fight or anything, just seemed pointless to me to lift a 2wd but like a wise man once said, there's an ***** for every seat!

no offense taken. But if I had the option at the time I definitely would have went 4x4. But I got the truck for dirt cheap low miles, the lift was $500 compared to upwards of $1000 for some 4x4 lifts, 1/2 price of a 4x4 to regear to 4.11. And was able to meet my demands just fine. It was either a low milage 2wd set up for off-roading, or a high milage stock 4x4. With the truck market here they're about the same cost (said 4x4 usually higher still) Being in highschool/college not making much money. It was hands the best option for me. I got to have a blast off-roading on the cheap cheap for several years.

but will it look stuffed? And what about this kit? or is this too much? Video Link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2AB8OO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3CZA 49L4L71NR&coliid=I20Y811X2EKL03

Thanks for all the input guys and keep the pics coming.
And yeah I'm basically just looking for a more aggressive look. I have 3 growing kiddos which is why I even have a s-crew. But I also pay a lot in child support which is why I don't have a brand new 4x4. So if I have to drive it, I'd at least like for it to look pretty cool!
That being said I'm thinking about going with XD Spy wheels 18x8.5. I could only find the 18s with a 6x135 bolt pattern so I'm going to go from 5x135 to 6x135 with an adapter. I think I'll like the offset it gives me too.
Thoughts?
