Lift kits
Okay, so I have a 2wd 2000 f150 5.4 lariat. I'm looking for a nice lift kit for it. I was directed towards a rough country lift, so I had one picked out. Then I started doing more research and I found Fabtech. Okay, there has to be a reason why a Fabtech 3.5 inch suspension lift is $1100 and a rough country 3 inch suspension lift if only $450.... Should I go with Fabtech? Or another expensive brand? What is y'all's opinion on the best suspension lift systems and brands?

It goes both ways, Ive heard Fabtech is a good company with a good product, but rough country has been around for a while, also with a good product, so they must be doing something right. Me personally, I'm a cheap guy, I am getting the rough country 5" lift kit for my truck pretty soon (already ordered, getting around next friday or so)

Fabtech is one of the best off the shelf lifts,if you have the money go fabtech.

I have the money, I was just happy with the price of Rough Country so I can buy more stuff for it haha
The only problem with the rough country is the only available lift for my truck is a 3 inch. And now that I've been thinking about it, that isn't that much. But the only taller one Fabtech has for me is 7.5 and it might be overkill.

Just for comparison, here is my 4x4 with 7.5" of lift and 37s. My bigger tires and being a 4x4 means it will sit a good bit higher than your truck and mine isn't too extreme

The only trimming done on the truck is a hair on the valance,it didn't really even need it. Fabtech will say what they recommend running but honestly there are guys running 37s and 38s on a 3" body lift, its just gonna rub like hell lol. 7.5" and 35s will be fine, you may be able to go a hair bigger,I don't have a 2wd so I can't tell you for sure. Or you can get the 7.5 and a body lift, that might be more than you want lol.
