Level/Lift & tire sizing
Own a 2004 Heritage 2wd Supercab with a 4.2L. I have been looking at a variety of ways to Lift it. Here are a couple of questions I have:
How much higher is the rear? I don't want 3" all around because I want it to sit level. 3"Front / 2"Rear or do I want the 3"Front / 1.5"Rear?
What is the best way to accomplish this without breaking the bank?
When shopping for rims? I know our Bolt Pattern is 5x135mm. What does Back Spacing have to do with it?
Lastly, I was looking at some new Rims/Tires
Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61.
275/65/17 is 31.6" (Overall Diameter)
285/75/17 is 32.7" (Overall Diameter)
Would either of these tires rub with the lift I am looking at? Also, my rear-end is something laughable. I think its 3.31. Would tires of those sizes do any damage to the rear end?
And lastly, this is purely an aesthetic question...
What looks better:
Ultra Rogue (Black with Machined lip) in 17" (on tirerack.com)
or
Dale Jr 708 Ribelle (matte black with Machined lip)
Any info/advice is appreciated as I am ready to start buying stuff for my truck.

Don't know if this helps. On my '03 Supercab 2wd I had a Daystar 1.5" lift spacer on the front and I ran 265/75/16 Pro Comps Xterrain tires. I had spacer for about 2 years, I just took them out decided on another direction.

ok best way to lift first measure your truck heighth off the ground to the peak of your fenderwells on all four tires. then go from there lets your front end is 33" off the ground and your rearend is 35" off the ground then you want to go with a 2" spacer up front or a 3' spacer up front and an add a leaf in back that should get you level like you want.
backspacing for your rims there is a thread on here somewhere i just read the other day that talks about it but i can't remember where its located
as far as the rims that your wanting its your truck but me personally i go with the cheap but good qualityhope all that helps.
next as far as tires n gearing are concerned i would go with the bigger tire and then look in to prolly a set of 3.73 or a 4.10 no bigger unless your going to lift the truck more than that and get even bigger tires but i would also make sure of what gears you have on the rear end how to do this is look at your rear end cover and find one of two tags and it should have on there some numbers if you have 3.31 then you should see them on there more than likely most F150s are coming from the factory with 3.55s but you will be able to tell the difference.
