Thumbs up New here just saying hey and need some advice on mods.

Just joined here and just saying hey. I have a 97 f150 4x4 4.6 auto reg cab lwb. Only thing done to it is a leveling kit and true dual straight pipes. Need some advice on what to do next. I like some of the light mods on yalls trucks. I don't have a clue on where to start. What are some mods y'all have done to your trucks?? I'll try an post a pic up so y'all can see what I'm working with. Thanks!![IMG][/IMG]

Welcome..nice truck..you can do 5" fog lights behind the grill....clear corners. Or restore the ones you have(take the yellow off them) or do all new aftermarket lights.

Yea man, thats the first thing I noticed about your truck are the yellow hazed lights. You can restore them yourself or pay a lot more and get some cool headlights

I just restored a buddies yesterday

I just used 2000 grit sand paper, went in a vertical direction and then a horizontal direction.
Then put some rubbing compound on a buffer then finished it off with plastic polish on a buffer.
You can do it w/out a buffer and use a cloth, just a bit more elbow grease

I would Restore the headlights and Fogs. Then tint the Tails and corners. Then you might be able to bolt some slim aftermarket lights on the lip of the bumper.

I don't want to hi-jack his thread, but since we are talking about lights, I am wondering how do you tint the tails and corners or front?
Can you do it yourself? How much does it cost for a shop or for you to do it?

Not sure of the cost to have a shop do it but there is a guy who does it one here. Or you can do it yourself with special tint spray paint.

Thanks guys. I watched a few vids of people using the VHT and I like how that looks, I would just tape off the reverse.

Well now back to his thread!

I have no advice for you, because I don't even have a F-150 yet, getting it Tuesday!!
