Default Exhaust muffler question

Okay, hope you all are doing great! I recently had a flowmaster 40 series muffler put in my 1997 Ford F-150 4x4, it's a regular cab, flareside, I'll post pics up for you all soon! Anyways, I always take all of my trucks to this same guys exhaust shop, today I was bored and decided to feel the pipes around the muffler to see if there were any leaks, I felt a tiny amount of air coming out from the outlet of the muffler around the welds, I live out of town, would it be worth driving back for him to check/fix that out, or is a leak or feel of air that small no big deal as long as you can't hear any sort of exhaust leak etc.. Thanks for all your input what if it were a tiny small amount of air from the inlet area.. do any of these circumstances affect horsepower, torque or gas mileage

IMO. You paid for an exhaust system. Id have them fix it. That little leak could start rusting and just get worse. But I'm just extremely **** about my truck lol

A leak will most likely rot out sooner. Flowmasters don't last long anyway, especially in snowy areas. They sound good and at around $100 are a good bargain, just don't last as long as a stainless steel exhaust. I had 3 on my ranger over 10 years, and it was still cheaper than my stainless magnaflow! Lol.

I'm down in Florida so I'm not worried about it rusting so quickly but as far as the little leak, you can barely feel any air imo is that little leak causing any horsepower, gas or torque lost or a leak like that you wouldn't even be able to notice any of that?

Something that small should not do anything for power. My concern would be how bad is the rest of the weld and will it let go completely. It could be a pin-hole mistake, or it could be a lot more. It shouldn't cost anything to bring it back and have the guy take a look at it.
