Left windows down in rain - now no electrical
OK, I was an idiot. I backed my 2001 F150 SuperCrew up in my driveway so that I had room to work on a project. Since it was a Texas Hot day, I rolled the windows half way down. Then, thinking I would be moving the truck back shortly, I left the ignition in the on posistion, but not running. I got distracted by my project and forgot about my truck. That evening we had a surprise Texas thunderstorm. I ran out to roll the windows up and I realized not only had I left the windows down, but the ignition was on, and I had no power to roll the windows back up. I figured the battery was just dead, so I popped the hood and hooked up my charger. The under hood light came on when I had the hood up. After it had charged a couple of hours, I noticed the hood light was no longer lite, and I still had no power in the cab.
I am not even sure where to start with this issue.

Thank you for the reply. I didn't mean head lights. I meant the interior lights that come on when you open the door, the dash lights when you turn the key. and the tiny light under the hood when you lift the hood. Everything is dead. Usually hooking up the charger will at least light up the dash lights. I had removed the key and the doors where shut when charging of course. (Windows still open). The hood was down as much as it could go with the charger attached. Even using my chargers start option, the electrical in the truck is dead.
I will try jump starting it with another vehicle tonight.
