Default LED head lights.

Hey guys just wanted to share the latest add on. just got a sudden bug to do something to the truck since it had been so long so i ordered some foot well lights witch brought to the age old fight of when do i want to paint my headlights black so i pulled the trigger and figured if I'm in there why not ordered my LED light strips. the mod list is
LED strips in head light
led fog lights
Cree LED hi/lo kit on its way still..
foot well lights.
so i started the heads lights they are just drying and will be put on saturday.
long story short i pulled my lenses painted the housings black and installed my strips. sealed it all back up and fogs and foot well lights will all be put on saturday. still waiting on the LED kit. will be doing full interior soon just still gathering some supplies though.

honestly really probably only coast me about 25bucks if that for the headlights got my strips from super bright leds about $15 shipped had some spray paint laying around and resealed with a tube of liquid nails clear silicon. led bulbs $10 shipped. front footwells $6 shipped, Cree led hi/lo kit. about $95 shipped. it was the first set of headlights i have ever done they came out ok for the first time and a at home job i think rained all weekend so had to paint in my storage then a storm kicked up a few dirt specks stuck the paint but its not a show truck so i was ok with it. but i thought i would share.

So those are white LED's, correct? They look blue on some of the pics.
I'm not crazy about them, but if you like it, that is what matters.
I do like black vs all chrome. Is that a gloss black you used?

Make sure you post up how the LED headlights look. I have some in my wifes car, but she has projector lenses so they look good and have really good light output.
I am just worried how the LED headlights work in an open housing like ours, and also how well the high beam works.

LED's were never made for reflector housings. So the light will be scattered just like HIDS. Those strips look blue and even they are technicially cool white you could still get a ticket if they were on.

yeah i ordered white they do look pretty blue in some pics. i went with the led kit cause i talked to a few different people and they said they had way better output over hids in the reflector headlights. ill post a pic as soon as the led kit gets in. and for high beams it dosnt really give you any more distance just brighter from what i was told. never had a single issue in WA don't run front plates on any of my cars my power stroke had a tinted windshield. booth trucks have smoked tails. my jeep had 3/4ton axles latterly my calipers were pretty much flush with the fenders cops or staters are not that bad here.

Just trying to look out for a fellow F150er. Down here it would be a different story. I'm interested in the LED's and how the work. It may get me to switch also if the light output is decent.

At this rate, grab a type-r decal along with a v-tec one and slap em on the tail gate. Did you know they make led windshield wash pissers? I'm sure you would love them considering the look of your headlights.
