Halogen projector headlights are junk no matter what kind of bulb you put in them.

Hicksbarry94 12-21-2014 02:25 AM

The ones I got have pretty good light output better then the stock headlights that was on it before

blupupher 12-21-2014 09:29 AM

I have some LED's in my wife's halogen projectors (H11 low beams only).

I think halogen bulbs have better overall output than the LED's (and even HID's).
With LED's, the foreground light is brighter than halogen (more forground light is not a good thing) and OK light in mid distance, but low beam distance is worse than with halogen.

Would these bulbs make a deference?

in the opposite direction. Those are for signal or reverse lights. They won't put out any usable light.

Plus that's the wrong bulb type. You need 9007 for headlights.

The headlights were just under $80, then the retrofit kit inside of them is about $300 give or take a little. So all in all about $400 headlights.

BUT, I had to install the retrofit kit into my headlights on my own. Fairly straight forward, there's a writeup on how to do it on this forum, BrowningSCrew made it when he did his headlights.

That's just to much for headlights tho

Being able to safely see, and see a long ways is worth every dime.

^^^^

This is exactly why I did mine. Plus I got the kit with a Black Friday promo code so I only paid $228 for the kit then with shipping it was $242. So I only have just over $300 into all of it.

That low or high

High. Low beams cut off below eye level on most cars as to not blind anybody.

blupupher 12-21-2014 06:38 PM

HID retrofits are what your Spyders want to be.

I can't afford to buy new headlights along with retrofit kit

03f15012 12-21-2014 11:03 PM

Then here. Perfect replacement for your Spyder headlights internals, and you'll get much better lighting.
