Default Leaf spring hanger

So today I found that my leaf spring bracket had broke and that left then rest again my bed but lucky I was able to weld it back together. Anyone think that will hurt or should I replace the bracket?

Are you talking about the shackle? The part that swings?

Anyway, whatever it was, replace it... No need to have weak suspension parts that can let go at inopportune times...

Just for sake of terminology...

Spring hanger: riveted to the frame toward the cab, the spring bolts directly through it...

Shackle hanger: riveted to the frame toward the rear bumper, the shackle bolts to this

Shackle: bolts from the leaf to the shackle hanger

Yeah I'd replace it... Ford sells em, or there's many companies online that sell em as a shackle and hanger kit...
