That hurts me to see. What happened? Leaking transom at the thru hull?

That was the first launch of the summer after spending the day putting the dock in. Took the boat for a couple runs around the lake and everything ran great, brought her in and tied her up then took the family out for dinner. It was dark by the time we got back and I didn't go back out. Woke up at 6am to let the dogs out and that was my view. When the local marine guy came to recover it we found that the drive shaft bellows had split half way open and the bilge pump couldn't keep up. Didn't end up all bad though only had 3grand in the boat, bought it as a project that needed a motor. Had it insured for 5g and bought the whole thing back for 600. The new boat is much nicer, so in the end it all worked out good. Oh, and my son brought his boat up for the week while we were on vacation so we still had a boat.

Not a ton of weight and not the heaviest I've pulled but this is my most recent haul. I had most of a 60' tree on the trailer. The thick parts at least. It was about 2k of wood plus the trailer which is about 1500 and then that gate on the back which makes the truck feel like it's hauling a house. Them gates will get you

Scrolling through this thread makes me wish I had a 5.4 not a 4.6 ha. The heaviest load I have had was 2 guys in the bed with I'd say 1k weight of wood stumps and such in the bed. Unfortunately while backing up I could hear the tires grinding on the inner plastic fender because it was squatting so bad

There's one with 71k miles on it for $850 for the engine or $1500 for the engine and install but that's a lot of money lol

And you would have to change the torque converter.

It would be nice to have and convenient some times, but I would never swap the engine. I don't tow all the time and don't really NEED the power. Just nice to have. But it's too much time, work, and money.
