Largest/heaviest haul?

No, scale was only myself and my 4 year old; no bikes, very little gear. Big dog rides in the camper. And yes, it was tight. Yet another reminder to me that selling my crewcab Super Duty was stupid.

I must ask, how was your MPG on this trip. When i had my truck (2002 f150 4.2 v6 short bed) and trailer weighted at at a scrap yard it weighed 6,020lbs with nothing on it. I get 16mpg highways when im by myself.

Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately, I didn't track my mpgs on this trip. Definitely not worse than my f250 v10 with the same load. That truck used to get 11mpg. Doing part of this trip again this long weekend (sorry, only for Canadians) and will try to track it then.
Here is a pic of the truck loaded to the roof of the canopy with rounds of alder and hemlock firewood. I think this load weighed more than the camper. Hellwig helper springs kept the truck level. Also, didn't have the tires aired up to max like I would have ordinarily when loading up the truck.

after harvesting milo/maize, my uncle had the bright idea of filling my bed full of the stuff for chicken feed.. after it was all said and done the top of my tires were level with the bottom of the fender flares. talk about nervous driving.. I swore my tires were going to pop lol
this was a few years ago so no pics of it

We just finished a short 240 km trip with myself, my son and the camper and averaged 13.5 mpg. Trip included having to traverse a 1000' elevation change mountain pass both there and back.

most I've pulled with my 99 4.6 was a mustang I bought in Rogersville TN and hauled it back to VA. I have a 3000lb trailer that I used with my old f250 to haul my tractor to be worked on so being the only trailer I had I used it.
It was a 98 mustang and I think the empty weight was around 3000lb too so about 6000lb. Truck was a low rider all the way home but I barely noticed it was back there besides looking at the sky the whole way home.
Had to turn around a few weeks later and pull the mustang to ford dealership to have a key cut and the computer reprogrammed to accept the new keys. Same thing truck was riding crazy low but was easy to pull.
