Default Knocking under bed

Hey guys, I just noticed about a week ago that there is a knocking sound coming from the rear of my truck, under the bed. It only does it while I'm rolling in neutral. Driving in gear, nothing. sitting at idle, nothing. I can really notice when I press the clutch to roll up to a stop sign or something, and the speed of the knock, or tick, seems to be consistent with the speed at which I am rolling. Does anyone know what may be the cause? I don't think its the U-Joint because there is no hard "clunk" during take off, or any other signs that it could be a U-joint. (besides, I just replace my rear U-Joint about a 2 years ago I doubt it would need replacing again). Just a soft knocking sound while rolling in neutral.

2003 4.2L V6 2wheel drive.

Thanks in advance for any info

I had a similar situation a couple years ago. Does it sound like a lug nut spinning around in a center cap? No joke. I had a noise, that's what it sounded like, of course it wasn't lol. It didn't do it all the time either. Try checking you're Emergency Brake shoe. Sometimes the springs rust and break and the rotor grabs the shoe making a very annoying "click"

Had a buddy tell me it could be the ring gear in the differential. Hope that's not the case, never had to take that apart before. But im going to open it up this weekend and see if any of the teeth are chipped
