Default Knocking in front right tire

Hey guys i ran into a sudden problem the other day. I had went with a few buddies and did some mild offroading. On the way home i could hear a sound that comes from the right passenger side tire in the front. Im not quiet sure but when i did hear it i had just hit the brakes. I checked it out and nothing seemed to pop out at me that seemed unusual. So i left it alone and today it rained and as i slowed down to a stop sighn i heard it again. Maybe someone has experienced this before? Anything helps.
Thanks guys

Is it a grinding noise? If so it could be your bearings

It's not a grinding noise it's like a pop and it only does it at slow speeds. I just had all 4 ball joints and upper arms done.

Still check the bearings I've had to replace both of mine after playing in the mud. Once you get alittle mud in them they go quick.

check lower ball joints for free play(should be none)...check your linkages upfront(sway bar linkage, etc)

yeah check the wheel bearings, its an easy fix i just replaced my front left, jack the tire up off the ground and spin it, listen for noises that seem off then do the other side to compare the sound.

I had a friend with a 98 Ford Ranger come over and he had a knocking... He popped off the center cap on his wheel and the cap for the bearing had come off and was rattling around inside the center cap.
