I'm looking at a cap for my 97 F150, but understand there were some changes made to the bed that year. The cap I'm looking at is from a 97 F250. I'm concerned it may not fit. I have a supercab, as does the rig it's coming off of, but the cap is a molded highliner with an insert where the rear brake light fits. Any advice is much appreciated before I make the long drive to see it in person.

Is it a F250 lightduty or superduty.

I'm not sure, but I've got a call in to the guy to ask, and also asked for the outside dimensions front and back. I'm a bit confused though. Supposedly my 97 F150 is supposed to have a tapered bed, however, inside rail dimensions front and back both measure out at just shy of 62 1/2. Am I missing something?

Its made for the old bodystyle F series.

Call me a dunce when it comes to caps. So... its an absolute no go... or is there a chance it might fit?

The price is more than right if its workable.

our 97-04's (heritage) have a bottom front curve to go with the design of the rear window. See my pic to see how they fit. You could try the one on your truck and see how it fits Who knows, it might do what you want for the price you want. I hope the pic helps.

If its a Light duty it should look exactly like your truck but a heavy duty is going to be different.
