Default Just picked her up

So, looks like I'm in the wrong forum, or maybe the right one. You decide.

I was originally looking at getting either an F150 or 250, but with my budget being so low, I was in direct competition with the "cash for clunkers" program (damn you, Obama! lol). Anyway, found one the other day. Went to look at it.... MINT condition! Not a scratch, speck of dust, nothing mechanically wrong, and it's 13 years old. Only issue I had was the mileage... 128k. But I've had a few Fords in my day... my '89 Escort hatchback from high school lasted to 189k and I still sold it for 500 bucks, and a '92 Explorer, bought it with 150k, and traded it in to a Ford dealer with roughly 250k for 500 bucks for an '03 F-150.

Well, ater selling and buying through many different makes and models, I'm finally back in a Ford...... van. That's right, bought an E-150. And this thing is loaded... I mean LOADED!! TV, VCR (which will soon be replaced with a DVD player), 6-disc changer, 4 plush leather captain chairs, **** carpet, bench seating in the back that converts into a bed, and the list goes on. I would never have considered a van, but after looking at this one, I couldn't pass it up. My plans are to put a ladder rack on it and use it for my new residential painting business. Other than that, this van needs nothing at all.

Here are some pics. Hope some of you can appreciate this as much as I do. Afterall, it's still a Ford.

I'm hearing that from a lot of people now, that I'm actually starting to consider doing it. lol

My thinking exactly.

I have some plans for this thing, too. I was going to tint it out completely until I noticed every window in the rear has pull-down shades. lol After doing some research on DVD players, I finally found
this one this one
. It's a little pricey, but getting great reviews on other sites. I need a good indash radio, too. Doesn't necessarily need to be a cd/tape player, either, since the van's equipped with a 6-disc cd changer. It just needs to be compatible with the changer, and preferably an auxiliary input or usb input so I can plug in my iPod. Any suggestions you guys might have would be much appreciated. And thanks again for the warm welcome!

Nice ride man..... i too had a e-150 and i have to tell you i could not kill the beast, i had a 93 with the 5.0 litre and i used it for my renovation bussiness, i lived on a farm and i also offroaded the van for chits and giggles....... only problem i had was the muffler fell off which i welded back on, needless to say i had the van untill it hit just over 450.000 km and it still ran like a beast, i sold it to a friend who landed up not being able to pay his rent and he scrapped it which to make things worse i had the pleasure of hauling it there and watched it get squashed
