Default Just an FYI for my 97-03 Guys!

Hey fellas, we all love our Ford's, and those ones are hard to beat! But we all know they're gettin old, and every guy likes somethin shiney and new! I'll never get rid of my 03, it's just been too damn good to me, and runs like a raped ape! However, for you guys that the old lady's sayin she don't like ur old truck, or she actually gave u permission to get a new one like mine did......
EcoBoost Technology is freakin AWESOME!!!
2014 EcoBoost F-150 XLT and the SOB will $.HIT and GIT! 35 gallon tank and I'm also averaging 23.4mpg according to my dash. I've pulled my 18ft Tracker Bass Boat behind it to the Lake of The Ozarks last weekend, and didn't even notice it back there! All while maintaining 21.8 mpg down interstate 44!

How do you like the difference in exhaust note? I have a 4.2 with magnaflows, but I want the V8 sound. Granted I don't do lots of towing and the V6 does good for what I use my truck for. I haul stuff from the hardware store to pulling lawn equipment and materials for my lawn care service and get 15-16 MPG average. Best I ever got was 20 mpg on a long trip with A/C. I've heard lots of good things about the 3.5 Ecoboost, but I am the more traditional way of having a full size truck with a V8. What's your opinion on it?

I'm in Franklin County about 30 mins south of Six Flags. As for the other questions....... Your 4.2 V-6 will never get that low deep tone ur lookin for. It's just not gonna happen with any exhaust u put on it. Idk why, but I've never heard one sound good. U almost have to have a V-8 to get that sound u want. As for the EcoBoost sound.... It doesn't sound tough like a V-8 and I really don't know if u can get that sound either..... But I will trade that sound for its power output and the gas mileage I'm gettin any day of the week! A HEMI doesn't have $.Hit on this trucks power! Ford did it, and they did it RIGHT!!! This isn't an average V-6 that U would buy as a company fleet work truck, or something like that, it was literally built to compete with V-8s and it does just that! Anyone that can get behind the wheel of this truck, and say they are not impressed with it I think are NUTS! If you test drive this truck, and don't love its power and acceleration,...ur just simply outta ur mind

I got absolutely raped by an ecoboost last week. I threw some revs at him, he smiled and took off when the light turned green, its ridiculous how quick those trucks are ...or how slow my truck is. I literally felt like I was standing still.

Im really debating between trading my truck in for one, OR ....OR buying a 2012+ mustang GT.

Owe 1,000 on my truck, was kind of thinking about paying it off and driving it into the ground, at 140,000 it has lots of life left.

My truck has been paid for, for the last 11 years. Don't need a new $40,000.00 bill to deal with. I'm sure their nice trucks and all . . .

I agree that its nice having a truck thats paid for, but if I wasnt in the market for a mustang I would trade my truck in without a second thought.
