dinging noise when door open
I have a 1997 F150 lariet. When I take the key out of the ignition and open the driver door, I get a dinging sound like I left my lights on. No lights are on and this only happens with the drivers door. If anybody has some insight into this problem, it would be appreciated.

The problem sounds like it is at the ignition switch. I've heard of guys pulling out the switch and you can disable the door chime, although I have never actually had to do this myself... so i wont be of much help

Shut the door...lol sounds like the the outside barrel on the ignition is not turned all the way prior to pulling the key out. When they get worn this will happen...mine did it
