Default Interior door panel lights

Was it an option for lighting on all 4 door panels? I have a 2003 SuperCrew and removed the lenses on my door panels, thinking the bulbs were bad. only to find out their are no wires or sockets. Wanting to have more interior lighting when my doors are open. any ideas for factory wiring?

My '03 XLT (Ext cab) has no wiring for those lights (dammit!). My '99 Lariat did.
Adding them will be a DIY endeavor. Just curious, did/do you have red or white lenses?

I think typically, red lens = no wires.

Supercrews have (optional?) lights in the front doors (red lenses) but no lights in rear door on any trim (also red lenses).
There have been several posts in the past about adding them, but never seen anyone that actually did it.

Interesting. All I've ever seen lit up is the white like my Lariat had.

im currently looking into this on my Harley.. it has no specific wires for lights. but they can be found in the drivers door only .

this is the info ive got from someone .

You can pick up power, the wire will be black with a light blue tracer, the easiest place to pick up power in my opinion is behind the passenger kick pannel Pull the cover, ther wil be I belive three wiring plugs look for the one that has the black with light blue this will be switched when the doors are open.

the rear doors on mine have reflectors but no space to put a bulb but im fitting small LED to the lower edge of the door trim ,the fron doors have space to put a bulb behind the red lens

Had an early finish today so got stuck in .

I wired them slightly different . each door catch has a switched earth so I ran lives into each door ,put them on there own fuses and wires a small led strip on the lower of the door card .
I ran a 501 bulb into each of the front door lights theres a nice round template on the rear of the door card. all sorted and working
