Default Interior fuse #15 battery drain help......

Anyone have any experience with a 2003 supercab fx4 4wheel disc brakes having battery drain with key off. Been pulling the the #15 interior fuse to keep battery from draining when parked.

# 15, 5 amp fuse feeds stop lamp switch (speed control, brake shift interlock), GEM, Rear Anti Lock Brake system, (RABS) module.

I have previously had the GEM out of the truck last year with similar problems......it did NOT look damaged from water and was not corroded in any way. I put it back in and all was well up until last week. Battery drain came back.

I also have had the ABS light on my dash for a while now. Could the problem be with the RABS module?

I have looked all evening on the web and there just isnt alot of info on locating the items to test/unplug.

I read there should be a connector on the passenger side kick panel to use to check abs code but im not having any luck finding it. Ive looked high and low and am not seeing it. Could the abs codes be read with a scanner on this 2003?

Thanks in advance

Also, i have had a dmm between the - battery post and cable. Its showing a 2 amp draw with #15 fuse pushed in and truck asleep. I pull the fuse and it drops to 20 ma which i believe would be acceptable.

i have also unplugged the rear abs sensor with no change. I put a meter on it and showed 1847 ohms so i believe its good....

im just looking for advice on where to locate the other items to unplug and test

Check the pressure switch on he master cylinder. Check the harness that goes to it. pull the plug and look to see if it is wet. make sure it has the recall harness. on it.

No, it should not be wet. That could cause a draw.

Does your truck have the recall harness on it? If you do not have the recall harness - UNPLUG IT NOW!!!!

It WILL cause a fire.

It sounds like he actually *removed* the switch from the M/C in which case it would, indeed, be wet.
If it is wet on the exterior, though, then yes...
