Well I picked this truck up today. It's a 1999 4.6 auto 4x4 with the tow package.
The good:
Near mint body
New transmission that came with all the paperwork and warranty info with it!
No leaks anywhere!
Near new tires.
Only 145,000 miles on the truck.

The bad:
Motor is toast.
It's dirty and needs a good detail and polish the chrome.

I payed 400 bucks! So I'm going to put a new engine in it with some upgrades and maybe let the wife drive it! Lol
What do ya think?

Well the 4.6 is a good motor so once you get a new one assuming its a 4.6 you got a good truck

Ya! I will replace it with another 4.6. And with the way I maintain my trucks and the new transmission it should last a long time!

Ow ow! She looks good! Always been a huge fan of that color scheme. So you're planning on getting an entirely new engine and trying to rebuild and or repair this one?

I have drove a lot of 4.6 trucks and I find them just fine! It's a truck not a sports car! Lol and for the heavy towing I have the f250!

Me too! Always wanted a black and gold!
I'm going to buy a engine from the local auto wreckers and have it freshened up.
Depends what I can find. Gotta do some calling around tomorrow!

Well duh! Hahaha it's not like you're gunna be towing lowboy 5th wheel trailers with a half ton that much and if you gotta pull that then you probably would have at least a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck! For boats and campers the 4.6 can do just fine in sure. I haven't gotten to pull anything yet but I do haul stuff sometimes in the bed more in the summer
