Default I'm sorry f150

Hello everyone on the forum i have a 2000 Ford F150 with a 4.6 auto 4x4, It has been a great truck until my stater went out. I went to the store and bought a new one install all good right? wrong then the battery die didn't have cables to jump it, so this when is what i regret of doing i took my battery from my car and put in my truck fire up drove it to work then i hit my brakes hard i was doing like 50mph then the truck shuts off i was like what happen??? i find out that the battery pos (+) post hit the hood and ground out the truck. I had no luck trying to start the truck unit i disconnect the battery for a few mins. Then Truck fire up with no problems unit drove away it didn't want to go in 3rd or 4rd gear???? It go's into 1st and 2nd and it shift good like was before. When truck is at normal temperature in 2nd gear 45mph it revs to 3000rpm then it's like pops out of gear it will engage to 2nd gear again when speed drops below 25mph then your ok unit 45mph again if i leave in 2 on the gear selector its good unit the rev limiter. I dont know what could have happen to my truck I dont think it the trans it was great before this. Could it be the computer? i have checked the trans sensors from the pcm i found the pin out and checked them with a dmm and they all look good to me and it doesn't have any codes on the computer. Help Please And Thanks Everyone

When you hooked up the battery, did all grounds get reconnected?

Man. That's hard to read. If I squinted any harder my eyes would be shut.

Put a new battery in. Disconnect the battery terminals for a half hour. Let us know the status then.

Yes I have put a new battery up on it and I had the positive in the negative cables touching overnight while it didn't have a battery in the truck just to clear the memory on the computers and that didn't help at all

Confused. But since you said you disconnected the batterie for a period of time try driving it. I know after you disconnect your batterie for a while the trans will shift different

What would be the confusion

But it doesn't even shift into 3rd or 4th gear it just seems weird that I lost those gears

Is English your first language? Or did you just type fast? It was difficult to understand your first post. Yeah I don't know why you lost some gears though.
