Bolt on kit to stabilize the tie rods. Helps alot with the wheel shimmy especially with off road mud/big tires/4x4's. Also looks great on them from the front. Think Rancho 5000 offers a picture of the kit installed. When you watch a truck on a pot hole road driving toward you, you can notice the wheel shimmy comming at you. Especially those rutted gravel paths called country roads. Seems like they never get graded smooth anymore, unless they wash out from a 500 year flood. LOL

If you do it right, no. Don't touch the steering wheel, or tires, and you should be OK.

Why are we only doing the idler arm? What about the pitman arm?

Lots of times the joint on the idler arm is the first thing to go.

But BIG-OO, you should have told us the complete story. If you are also doing upper control arms, then YES you do want an alignment. I also suggest you get the camber kit if you are doing the upper control arms. You will get a much more precise alignment out of your front end.

I guess if it doesn't need replacing you should be fine. To me it's one of those things where if you're doing the work you might as well ya know.

I have camber adjustable bolts already. The alignment checks out good. But there is a little movement in a arms and the idler arm according to the shop. I wanted to do the whole thing in parts, though a few months apart.
