Default Sub box diagram and dimensions

This was for my 03 FX4 S-cab

Here are some dimensions and possible cubic feet for a sub box in a 97-03 supercab. I created a program to optimize my volume given the space I had possible. I ran some more complicated programs, but the one I am posting here should be easy to see and decipher.

Hope this helps

Yeah, I have them save. But this one was made specific for two 10" type R's. (non shallow mounts)

Also note this box is for bottom mounting or seat spacers.

So you put something under the seat where it bolts into the cab to raise it up giving u clearance for the box to be bigger?

do u have to do that or can you probably put shallow subs without raising the seat?
I am just trying to get an idea of the easiest way to put 2 10s in under my seat without too much modification. If not 2 subs, 1 will suffice.

It would be very easy to mount 2 shallow mount 10's or 12's without raising the seat. You have about 6.25 inches under the factory seat. No seat raising would be necessary for the shallow mounts.

However, I don't think shallow mounts give as good of performance as full excursion subs, so I had to make a way to fit a sub with a top mount depth of 5.875inches. So I fabbed so steel spacers to raise the seat about 30mm. Then im using two 3/4 baffle's to cover the rim of the sub, then one to give room for the 20mm excursion of the sub cone.

Thanks guys... I should have some pics posted of the amp rack and lifted seats by the end of the week. I teach math at WVU so when I get off work it's usually dark and I have no garage.

Here are a few more pics. Still needs a baffle and another top baffle for protection from the seat.

As you can see I prefer my Rockford Power Series Amps to do all the hard work. Alpine subs are pretty decent for the price. Although, I have had a couple to blow with heavy power. But they will surely suffice in a supercab truck for so heavy thumbing. I typically jsut listen to rock and country, so as long as I have a good set of components upfront any subs work. I appologize ahead of time for posting pics of my bmw on a Ford forum.
