Default IAC? 2002 f150 4.6l

Last night, no lights but very high idle going 35, at 4K RPMS, no misfires, transmission not shifting and when I put it in park the RPMS shot up above 2k. Could it be the IAC?

No lights, trans not shifting.... sounds like a ground issue.

Perhaps the lights are blown. Kind of hard to check idle @ 35. They usually don't misfire at 4000 RPM's.

Perhaps you need to to brush up on your English...in written form. For now, take it to a shop and just say, -it's broke, can you fix yes ? Hopefully they'll help you out....might want to flash some green. THAT, they will understand.

He probably means no check engine lights.

How about a bad vacuum hose to the transmission controls? Might cause no shifting and a high idle. IAC seems doubtful as a cause.

Yes I meant no check engine lights, but I got it fixed, I replaced the IAC and the throttle positioning sensor and it was fixed, but after replacing those I got a check engine light which I will have fixed tomorrow.
