Would it be possible to put a 02 ford f150 4.6L v8 engine into a 2003 f150 to replace a 5.4 triton?

 

Sounds very possible, the engines are pretty close to each other or in some ways, pretty similar.... but why do you want to replace a 5.4l for a 4.6l?

 

Because the 5.4 is blown and I found a 02 4.6 with low Kms and fairly cheap and it would be cheaper the. Buying a whole new truck

 

It's plug and play. Just use your W/H & ECU. It wont run optimal until you get a 4.6 base tune it'll still drive fine. You may have some decay rate issues but it'll still drive.

I'll warn you though the 4.6 and 5.4 feel and drive like very different engines. You may not like the result. ..depends on how you drive I guess.
