I need help with my egr hose!!

Default I need help with my egr hose!!

today while my truck was running. i took off the vacuum hose thats conected to the egr solenoid (green one, also hooked to top of EGR valve) and there wasnt any vacuum.. should there be?? anyt advice is aprecciated!

It should have vac (not the valve but the hose)but has it throwed any codes? these are bad for dry rotting

ok youll have to excuse me but lemme get this right. so the top one (green one hooked to the top of EGR valve going to egr solenoid) should have vacuum, right?

and nope, no codes, wich is confusing me. and would it be the egr or the hose cause the bottom wire (white) has vacuum.

I don't think EGR is supposed to get vacuum at idling. If you have vacuum at idling, EGR will put exhaust gas back to cylinder and kill or stumble the engine. Yes, the vacuum level at EGR is regulated by the regulator/solenoid.
