i disagree with you saying we (hunters) should be ashamed of ourselves. true sportsmen do more good for the forest and land conservation than you could even imagine. "hurting a helpless little animal just so we can stuff our fat face with meat" is an insult to those who know nothing else but live/ survive off the land. you want to see where the supermarket gets their meat? go check out a slaughterhouse then tell me that us hunters are hurting helpless animals.

I archery hunt both, the Gilas and Pagosa Springs. If I can figure out the URL for pictures I'll post my success. By far and away the elk are much larger in N.M. It's hard to get drawn for the HQ hunts in the Gilas.

thanks, i actually got draw for unit 5B this year . which i have been told is a great deer hunt., but yeah there are nice elk in N.M. good luck on your hunts
