Question hubs

anyone changed a hub? i used to have a 2wd so the bearins on that were easy, never done it on a 4wd, i know you have to replace the whole assembly, reason im askin cuz there goin out, started to sound naaasty

replacing hubs on a 4x4 is really easy also. you just need to remove the axle nut ( do this first while the tire is still on the ground) jack up the truck, and remove the tire. next you need to remove the caliper and rotor. i normally take the dust shield off to make it easier, its only 3 8mm bolts. disconnect your abs sensor from in the engine compartment. Remove the 3 15mm bolts that hold the hub on, and this is the fun part. if you have an air hammer that makes life a lot easier but if not jus use a chissel or screwdriver and a hammer to pry the hub off. You may need to put the axle nut back on so you can beet the cv shaft out of the hub. When you put it all back together i believe the 3 hub bolts get torqued to 150 ftlb and the axle nut gets between 180-240 if i remember correctly.
