How to turbo and help on look
So I have a 1999 2wd ext cab.
My buddies uncle is great at building motors, I was gonna sell my truck and get a sports car but decided to go with another idea. Besides I need its size cause I do mobile car detailing.
I was wondering what are best turbo kits out there, and best engine parts. I am going to rebuild her with high quality parts and want to push 20psi, and I want 600hp and around 650lb ft of torque.
Well my buddy said to slam it, but I feel like on a EXT cab it might look weird. So for paint I'm doing gloss black and then were its silver on bottom that will be flat black. Then in between the gloss and flat I want to get a 1" thick stripe of red paint to separate them. What would be some good flames to lay on flat black? Kind of unnoticeable but add a touch of personality.
I want to lift the front 3" and the back 2" to make her a bit taller and more level than stock. Which of the rims below should I get? I'm going to paint the lip red to go with my black/red theme. Then I will get either 315/50-R20 Red letter General grabbers or 35/R20 of same tire. The 315/50 is a 33", right? What tires to go with that lift? I want it to kinda have a race/streetish look, thats why I like the tires. I'll also get a locker if I go this route.
Or should I get a lowering kit, which would help handling? and what tire/wheel combo for that look?
What do yall think? And if I lift it and get 33's or 35's should I re-gear? She is stock with 3.55s. But I'm going for 600hp/650tq, so I didn't know if I should re-gear. I'm also doing the engine before exterior.
