Default How to take off the grill in a 99 f150?

I went and looked earlier and is the only way to get it off pull the silver plastic around the headlights and the bottom and top of the grill, and you'd have to take off the plastic when you open up the hood. Sound about right? Got a long weekend coming up and want to paint my grill And please post some pictures of your painted grills.

Sounds about right. Radiator shroud then some push pins under the corners of the grill surround near the fenders. Then remove corner lights and take all the screws out of the surround and pull it off. Then you can un-clip the grill from the back

Id just tape it off and put a piece of cardboard between the grille and radiator.
