My first 97 f150 4.6l auto had about 343,000 when i got rid of it. my current 97 4.2 5sp has 161,000. no issues out of my first 97 with the 4.6. i havent had my v6 f150 long enough to tell yet. other then it is in need of a tune-up in a bad way. factory plugs and wires.

My 2003 f150 xlt sport v8 5.4L supercab 4x4 has 322,000 miles on the original motor I have replaced the starter twice and the water pump once as far as the "engine" goes. I am currently working on a replacement engine (more performance parts) for it when it goes although it shows no sign of that happening any time soon

Just bought a 2003 XLT 5.4 7700 package was a county fire rescue vehicle. 126,000 miles looks like new seats don't look like they have been sat in drives has a small tear but no sagging.

I bought my 2002 F150 FX-4 last month from a rural used car dealer so small they didn't have a machine to run credit cards. Overall, got a pretty good deal on it. It is in almost new condition inside and out, which is amazing because it's always been a Minnesota truck and it's 17 years old!! They spread rust on the roads in winter up here to help the new car dealers with repeat sales!! I went into our local Ford dealer today looking for a part. You know how it is at a dealership - you have to enter through the sales floor, where you are immediately "greeted" by the sales guy (in this case) who wants to make small talk leading to a test ride or worse. He asked me how many miles I have on the truck, and when I told him "93,000" his first response was to ask where I had been storing it all these years! His second response, when I told him that I just bought it a few weeks ago was to lose interest, point me around a corner to the parts department, and head back to his post to await a live prospect.
93,000 is less than 5,500 miles a year! I don't know what the previous owner was doing with it, but it obviously wasn't a whole lot!!
