She wasn't hurt, but the truck was mangled. I briefly thought about trying to fix it, but the damage was too extensive. I was pretty disappointed, because I fully expected to get at least another 100k miles out of it - it literally had zero problems and apart from wear on the drivers seat, was in really good condition.
I ended up selling that truck to a guy that owned a salvage yard for $1200.

I got a new(er) truck out of the deal, so it's all good. The new one is a 2004 f150 4x4 Lariat supercrew with only 110k miles.
My wife is not allowed to drive it.
I wanted to note that this truck had no work done to the engine. I think I replaced the plugs and wires at ~100k. A couple of the coil pacs were replaced. The heater core, radiator, starter, and the battery had to be replaced along the way, and rebuilt the transmission at ~200k.

The 5.4 motor had never given me any issues. No leaks, no breakages, nothing. Sure it had some ticking/tapping in the valve train when you'd first start up, but it was still my daily driver and I was getting 15-16mpg out of it - better than my (new) 2004 with 1/3 the miles.

02 f150xlt 4.2 = 195K. I am going to replace the IAC and PCV this week, possibly the TPS. Rear seal is leaking a little but not enough to be worried about yet. I probably need shocks and I did not replace the rear 02 sensors when I did the front. My son will be driving this truck come this summer and to tell the truth I wish I could find him something else because I miss it already!

I have been a member here for 4 years and have never posted but man, the information I have gotten here cannot be duplicated anywhere else. Thank you all! This is a great place.
