215,893. 1997 Lariat ext cab, Cardinal red/silver. 5.4 2WD. Original engine & transmission. Original owner, I took delivery 7-23-97. Recent (past 12 months) DIY include replacing #3 and #4 coil packs, trans shift cable, starter, shift tube bushings, ignition switch, heater core (PITA). I drive it 100 miles a day, it gets 15 mpg, highway, but I saved a ton of money on the DIY stuff. Smooth running truck w/ great A/C and stereo (Alpine speakers, otherwise original)

My 2002 Lariat supercrew had 286,000+ and was going strong - until my wife fell asleep at the wheel in Nov of last year and ran it into the corner post of our neighbors gate. it was a 4" diameter pipe that had 4' in concrete. She wasn't hurt, but the truck was mangled. I briefly thought about trying to fix it, but the damage was too extensive. I was pretty disappointed, because I fully expected to get at least another 100k miles out of it - it literally had zero problems and apart from wear on the drivers seat, was in really good condition.
I ended up selling that truck to a guy that owned a salvage yard for $1200.
I got a new(er) truck out of the deal, so it's all good. The new one is a 2004 f150 4x4 Lariat supercrew with only 110k miles.
My wife is not allowed to drive it.

1998 4;6L. I have 234500k on it. Been a wonderful engine. Had 213k on it before I even replaced the original battery last year. After that though I have had to replace the clutch slave cylinder, the clutch (cant complain after all those miles), the front axles, and the 4 wheel drive stopped working. Started burning oil the past 10-15k as well. Still a great truck but getting ready to take her off the road an do a restore.
