...change the fan belt on a 1997 4.6L engine mine is all cracked and one came with the truck and it is time to change

 

its pretty easy. If you have any mechanical experience with your vehicle you shouldnt have a problem. Just dont forget to put the ratchet on your tentioner pully and release the tension before you try to pull it off. and visa versa when putting it on. put it around the tensioner last

 

I would also recommend that you look at, and draw a quick diagram of the path the belt takes BEFORE you take it off. Unless you have the sticker that has it on it.

Can't count how many times I've done this and then spend 20 mins figuring out how it should go back on. lol
