How to handle air bag code 52?
Hi folks,
my 1998 F-150 makes some trouble.
The air bag lights shows code 52 (52=Backup Power SupplyVoltage Boost Fault).
This happened after giving my old batterie a jump start.
Now I've a new batterie, but problem is still there.
How can I solve this problem?
Regards
Mark

Clear the code with your code reader and if that doesn't work take it to the shop.I had this issue on my old truck and the best thing I found to do was to bite the bullet and take it to the dealer cause if you not sure what you are doing you can cause major damage to the safety systems. Would hate to give you a tip then 6 months down the road your air bag deploys in your face or it not deploy at all when your in an accident. What happens is a sensor went bad for some reason it only cost me 74 bucks to get it fixed.

A friend of mine has a code reader. That's a good idea. I will ask him to clear the code. Hope it works.
If there is realy a bad sensor or another serious problem, I guess the code will come again. At this point it is time to see the dealer, you are right.
Thanks for your help.
