How do i find out if my exhaust is leaking somewhere?

first id check all the nuts n bolts on the headers and then the pipe itself(recommend doin when cold lol)
then check pipe for any small holes or anything...you can do this while you have the truck idling that way you can hear for it or get an idea of where on the truck it might be comin from

Do you hear it leaking? Sometimes moisture will buildup and will drip out from the gap if it's along the pipes. If it's closer to the exhaust manifold, you would definitely know, it would be loud. I have the luxury of a shop lift but I know alot of you guys raise your trucks up high. If you can get under there safely, use this little trick. Leave it idling and hold a sheet of paper near and around where the pipes connect and see if it moves - the air pressure that leaks out will make the sheet of paper flutter
