EBay is close but a lot of knock offs. Otherwise summit. I go with amazon due to free 2 day shipping with prime.

When I meant with no tail pipe I was talking about a 90° dump. Personally I like the look of shaving a tailpipe so I just hooked my new muffler up to the old tail pipe. Not sure what your your truck is but the 97-03s need an "S" shaped exhaust pipe in between the muffed and the stocktail pipe for it to fit properly, but that only if you go with a round body muffed (glasspacks, magnapacks, bullets, ect....). If you go with an oval body get a center in/offset out. Again this is for a 97-03 style truck I'm not sure bout other years.

Both were single exit out the back with a 4 inch tip. The magna flow wasnt real loud but so so clean. With a pipe in its place the truck is only moderately louder and still fairly clean sounding
No tackle is right, straight pipes sound like ***.

Have you heard a 97-03 5.4 with a pipe inplace of the muffler and ran out the back like stock? With all stock cats? It really sounds good compared to the average raspy crackly straight pipe sound

I think the point of the OPs question was how to make the exhaust have a nice tone and not break the bank. But if that's not the case then go all out 2.25 inch dual with long tubes, high flow cats, x pipe, your choice of mufflers, whatever exit you like, then some nice tips. But that's no where near inexpensive or an easy garage job.

Sounds Ok. I like one with a muffler better. Sounds like the driver has class.

Personally if I was gonna do all new exhaust it would be 3" long tubes no cats x pipe and whatever muffler you want but definetly 3" all the way at the least 2.5" I wouldn't recommend going smaller than what came on it from the factory.
