ok so my next question it that one of my cats might be colapsed instead of getting a new one id just like to delete them save some money ive read that i can delete the rear two and put a bung on a staight pipe and the o2 sensors wont trigger anything off. But can i also delete the front two and still have enough back pressure from the muffler?

JCP281 I have a Diablo for my 98 Cobra that I got a few years ago for the sole purpose of turning off my rear o2's when I put on a off-road H-pipe. It worked great till two months ago when I hooked it up to the computer to update it and download a new tune. I got a cel for the rear o2's when I locked it to car to download the tune. Called Diablo and they said I was screwed because it illegal to circumvent a emission device and no new tuners from any company would do it anymore, You should have put that $2,000 in tuner stuff towards a drop top cobra because 2v 4.6's are junk for making power unless to give it boost.

First read this about backpressure: https://www.f150forum.com/f11/exhaus...re-myth-78102/

Please don't delete the fronts. If you want to get rid of them due to sound volume just do hi flows. Here's a few reasons to not totally delete the fronts: 1. There's no improvement in performance. 2. It's illegal. Yes most cops won't look but it's a hefty fine if they do. 3. I'm not a tree hugger, but the cats do serve a purpose for the air quality.

well to clear things up im not looking to improve preformance i waas saying my cats might be fried/ colapsed and causing my to get bad fuel milage(check engine light is also on and have to get it read yet but this may be my prob) and instead of buying new cat with is guna cost me thousands could i delete them i understand that i can delete the rears but can i also delete the front? you never really said if it would hurt my system u just outlined that it wont improve preformance?

Cost you thousands? Look at Performance peddler and Magnaflow 94106, the cats are around $60 a piece. Get two and weld them in place of the fronts. The fronts are needed for the reasons listed above.

Those that say they live in Texas, where in Texas do you reside?

Reason I ask is because I live in S.A. and would like to delete my cats on my 2008 Ford F-150 FX4.

If you have a cat problem...
Its because you already have engine problems

Fix your truck. Fix it right.
