Default High output alternator?

Anyone know where I can get a high-output alternator for my truck? What is the output on my current alternator?

Snap a picture of your alternator and we can tell you what you've got.

No problem, - it's a 4two, probably a 90 amp.

Yeah, more than likely. I'd also like to see how it mounts on a 4.2 because there may be some wrecking yard options.

This was a 130 from a 98 4two, -

But that's 98, before Ford cheaped out on Alts.

OK.... that's the configuration I thought it was. I have two of those 130's like that. They fit a 4.0 too.

Maybe the regulator is clocked different, but it would probably work.

I did some checking and its not factory, but a reman alternator and my research tells me its 95 amps.

What is the info on the white tag under the hose? That would give you the exact specs.

White....that is the same alternator as the Taurus 3.0 also, and those were 130 and larger. I have one in the shed with the bad brush gouges. I'll order a new 12.00 one and throw it together, It is the same as the 4.0 Mustang also.
