Default Help with wiring harness & door locks

Under the dash in my '03 Supercrew, there is an extra wiring harness connected with little red wiretaps to several of the leads that go to my module that controls all the door locks. It's way up in there to the left of the steering column and hard to get to. I'm wondering what this is for and if maybe that's why my doors suddenly won't lock with the fob or with the armrest button. Maybe one of those taps damaged the wire? It looks pretty much like a professional installation, but what is it for? Maybe for one of those GPS that the car dealers use to track down the truck for repo? Whatever it was for is gone now, because they all run thru some fuses to a dead end plug. I would like to remove it to see if my wires are damaged, but it's extremely hard to reach.

So can anyone give some insight on this????
Thanks!!

Sounds like a aftermarket alarm system, or a GPS tracker for loans at one point.

Yes, that's what I thought it was. I got it out of there now and have it here in my office. I had to splice a wire back in the truck where they had cut it and spliced in their stuff. Now I have to examine all their connections to see if maybe one of their wire taps separated the wire and made my door locks quit working. They will unlock, but they won't lock.

Anyway, I hope it's not the actuators. I have Dynamat on the 2 front doors and it will be a pain.
